Maria being congratulated by Batt O'Keeffe (Minister for Education) at a recent awards ceremony.Maria is a professional artist living Fermoy, Co. Cork. She is an honours graduate of Trinity College Dublin. As well as painting professionally Maria offers childrens art and craft classes.Since becoming a professional artist in 2007 Maria has exhibited regularly and her work is available in several galleries in Counties Cork, Waterford and Tipperary. She works in oils, acrylics and pastels and influences on her work include, Rembrandt, Caravaggio, and the French Impressionists.
The Work
Maria works mainly in oils or acrylics to create paintings with a richness of colour, atmosphere and texture in a style that is distinctly her own.
