The Artist

Maria Dowling is an artist living in Co. Cork, Ireland.  She has worked as a professional artist since 2006, having spent many years before that painting whenever possible.

Strong influlences on her work are Rembrandt and Caravaggio, she has also been influenced by Renoir and the French impressionists

The Work

Maria works mainly in oils or acrylics to create paintings with a richness of colour, atmosphere and texture in a style that is distinctly her own.
